Yes, but just once. The problem was regarding the airbag system. The Equinox had a faulty airbag inflator that could rupture upon impact.

This means that the airbag won’t deploy after a crash. This can be fatal for the driver. The recall addressed this issue and fixed it. There have been no airbag-related complaints.

Some users also report that their reverse backup camera malfunctions and doesn’t work. This can be dangerous while reversing. These issues usually happen around 10-30k miles.

2015 Chevy Equinox Interior Issues

Some 2015 Equinox windows are at risk of breaking. These can be the side windows or even the front and rear windshields.

The windshields can randomly break under pressure, or at least crack. The solution to this is that you need to replace the damaged components. Interior issues are a significant part of the 2015 Chevy Equinox Problems. These problems occur at around 70k miles.

The air conditioning and heating system are also a pain for some. The refrigerant can leak out and/or the condenser and evaporator can stop working. The compressor and the blower also need to be checked out. Otherwise, hot air will be blown out of the AC’s air vents.

Body and Paintwork Issues
