Yes, but just once. The problem was regarding the airbag system. The Equinox had a faulty airbag inflator that could rupture upon impact.

This means that the airbag won’t deploy after a crash. This can be fatal for the driver. The recall addressed this issue and fixed it. There have been no airbag-related complaints.

Most of the 2015 Chevy Equinox Problems are electrical faults. The battery is known to drain out very quickly. This happens overnight. The computer can also freeze out and the entire electrical system can shut down.

 Even the radio can fluctuate; turning on and off randomly. The alternator can shut down and you can also be pestered with random Check Engine Lights. The ignition switch can also be at fault.

There are other possible electrical problems as well. The radio is unreliable on some models and it can stop working or not work at all. It can also stay on. The infotainment system can also undergo faults without any warnings. 

Some users also report that their reverse backup camera malfunctions and doesn’t work. This can be dangerous while reversing. These issues usually happen around 10-30k miles.

Some 2015 Equinox windows are at risk of breaking. These can be the side windows or even the front and rear windshields.

 If you want to avoid costly repairs in the future, it’s always best to maintain your vehicle by having regular oil changes and tune-ups. With proper care and maintenance, even with frequent use of high RPMs or harsh shifting conditions, the Chevrolet Equinox engine can last up to 200k miles!
