Car mirrors are used to see around the vehicle. There are a variety of different types of mirrors that you can choose from, and they are all attached to the car by way of a metal bar. Having your car mirrors break is not a good thing, as you will not be able to see the road in front of you. This can lead to accidents and getting into an accident is never a good thing. If your car mirrors are broken, then you will need to fix them right away.

Common Issues with Kia Sorento Mirrors

If the mirror does not fold in and out when you move it, you might need to reset it. What might be causing them to not fold smoothly is if something blocks their path while they are folding. The second reason why you might need to reset the mirror is if they start to fold manually or if they start to vibrate while you are driving.

When they make loud noises while they are folding or struggle to fold properly, you will need to do more than just rest them. If they still do not fold or make noise when they are folded after resetting their functions, your problem may be deeper than a simple setting.

Having your Kia Sorento mirrors malfunctioning can be due to a number of things, including a blown fuse, bad wiring, and broken switches.

Reset your mirror

Find and select the switch that allows you to turn off the power to the power mirror that is not working. You should be able to move your mirror in different positions to test its functionality.

Try moving another mirror so that it will work again. If the switch does not allow you to adjust the other mirror glass, the mirror switch is defective. If the switch moves the other mirrors just fine, the mirror that is malfunctioning may be defective.

If your power mirror does not move when you press the mirror switch, it may be time to reset it. This switch is normally located on the dashboard or in the center console of your car. Find the power mirror switch and press and hold it for about five seconds. The mirror should now be reset and hopefully work again.

Clean your mirror

You should use a soft, clean cloth to clean the mirrors. Do not use harsh chemicals or rough cloth to clean the mirrors. Lightly wipe the mirror with a soft cloth until the surface is completely clean.

When you are washing your car, be careful! Avoid harsh chemicals or scrubbing harshly. It may damage the finish on the mirror. Car mirrors are convenient, but if you are not careful, the mirrors may become damaged.
