1974 LAMBORGHINI COUNTACH – $1.87 MILLION

The Countach was so influential at the time that almost every teenager had a poster of it in their bedroom. Behind the angular and futuristic design is Bertone’s Marcello Gandini, who also designed the Miura. This time though he ventured much farther (and we are happy about it) with an innovative 3-liter V12 engine placed right behind your head!

The power capacity later rose to 4.75 liters on LP500S models and 5.2 liters for 5000 QV 25th Anniversary editions as well as many other innovations like Kevlar bodywork or pop-up headlights which were not yet mainstream features back then but have become commonplace today.
