If your Apple CarPlay is not working in your Hyundai Santa Fe, look to these tips for help:

Make sure to enable CarPlay

You must have an iPhone 5 or newer, with iOS 7.1 or newer version, in order to use Apple Carplay on your iPhone. Before you begin to do it, make sure that Carplay and Siri are enabled on your iPhone. If you are using Siri, make sure that the option to press Home for Siri is enabled under Siri & Search in your settings.

If you cannot find either CarPlay or Siri & Search under the settings menu, go to Settings first. You should find the header saying Screen Time, which will bring you to Content & Privacy Restrictions. In this content and privacy page, there’s a list of applications allowed to operate. Make sure both CarPlay and Siri are enabled in this list.

Make sure CarPlay is fully updated

Another important thing to remember is that you must make sure that your iPhone has the latest version of CarPlay. You can check this by going to Settings, General, Software Update. If there’s an update available for your phone, then download it and install it.

CarPlay is also available for download in the App Store. Make sure that you have downloaded the latest version of CarPlay and that it is updated.

Check the connection in the USB port

The USB port is located on the bottom of your iPhone. Check to see if there’s a[proper connection between your phone and the USB port in your car. You can do this by plugging in your iPhone and using the Apple CarPlay app. If you have an active Wi-Fi connection, then try accessing it from your iPhone while plugged into the USB port of your car.

It is possible that your USB port is loose or faulty, which is causing the smartphone to not register with the USB port. You can replace the USB port on your car to fix this problem.

Check for iOS updates

The Apple software is updated automatically, but you should still take care to have it updated if you want to use CarPlay. If there’s an update available, then make sure to download and install it to your iPhone. Make sure that the update is complete before you start up your car. Otherwise, you will not be able to properly connect with your iPhone through CarPlay while in the car.
