Nowadays, it’s not unusual to find Hyundai Santa Fe in many areas. However, sometimes problems may occur with the vehicle. For example, if you’re having issues with your screen or touchpad on your dashboard of your Hyundai Santa Fe and you can’t figure out what’s wrong with it, then you can take help from this article and learn how to fix it right away!

Cleaning your touchscreen

To start with this problem, make sure that your touchscreen is clean enough before looking for other issues. Dirt or dust may obstruct the screen enough that it prevents you from using the touch screen feature effectively. Use a soft cloth or some cotton swabs to clean off dirt and dust particles from the screen before proceeding to the next step. Make sure that you don’t press too hard on it because doing so may damage the screen further.

By doing this regularly, you’ll be able to maintain a better condition for your touchscreen which will help you avoid issues with your screen later on.

Check the power supply

This is one of the most common problems that can occur with your Hyundai Santa Fe screen. The power supply could be damaged or something similar. In this case, you need to replace the power supply and make sure that it’s properly connected before proceeding to the next step.

If you have a newer model, then you don’t need to worry about this issue because there should be no problem with your power supply if it’s not broken or faulty.

Replace the display panel

Another problem that may occur is a bad display panel on your touchscreen which prevents you from using it effectively. If you find that this issue is occurring, then you can replace the display panel with a new one by following these steps:

First of all, remove the screws on both sides of the dashboard where your screen will be attached to and lift up gently in order to separate them from each other. Next, disconnect the wires from each side and detach them from their respective terminals. Then detach both connectors from your display panel in order to take it out. If you’re worried, you can always go to an expert for this.

Restart the screen

This is one of the simplest and easiest ways to fix your screen issue. In this case, you can simply restart your screen by pressing and holding the power button for about 10 seconds. If this solution doesn’t work, then as an alternative, you should try to reset it by turning off the ignition and then pressing the power button again for at least 15 seconds.
