This could be due to a loose connection, or it could be that the screen itself isn’t working properly. So, how do you fix it? Here are some simple steps to take when your screen isn’t working properly on your Nissan Sentra.

Symptoms

The signs that your Nissan Sentra screen is not working properly include a blank screen or display, poor image quality, poor audio reception, poor connectivity, and internet connectivity problems.

Causes

The most common problems with the screen are related to dirt or corrosion. There are several ways that this can happen. You can check out some of the most common causes below.

Dirty Screen – The screen is the clear plastic covering that protects your display from scratches and dirt while you are driving. It’s also what makes it possible for you to see the information on your screen while driving.

Dirt or debris on your screen can prevent it from working properly, which is why it’s important to keep it clean at all times. You can also try cleaning it with a soft, lint-free cloth. If that doesn’t work, then you will need to replace your screen altogether.

Faulty Screen – It is very important to be able to see everything that you need to see on your dashboard while you are driving. So, if your screen becomes damaged, it will cause a serious safety hazard for yourself and other drivers in the car.

If this happens, then you will need to replace your entire dashboard assembly along with the screen for everything to work properly again.

Procedures

Here are some simple steps that you can take to fix the screen on your Nissan Sentra:

Get rid of the rounded edges of the screen by prying into the trim with a flathead screwdriver. It is possible to remove the screen by removing the screws that hold it in place; simply remove them with a flathead screwdriver.

If there is any sort of plastic covering the wires or fuse boxes inside of your car, take off the covers. If there is any accumulated dirt or debris inside a vent, clean it out using a vacuum cleaner or blow it out with compressed air.

You may also want to use a small brush to get any small pieces of dust out. Check for burnt wires in the vents and, if there are any, cut them off with a pair of sharp scissors and dispose of them. Then put everything back together as normal.

You should now be able to turn on your screen and use it as normal. If you are still having problems with your screen, then you may want to consider taking it to a mechanic for further inspection.
